The Walk of Shame
Sam is a star. The team here has put together a true feat of a show. It would be my pick for Best of Fest (if I had a vote, DUNCAN). Walk of Shame was incredibly engaging, it felt like the entire audience was leaning forward the entire time. It was relatable in a way that made me feel more comfortable with the way I see myself, and the world around me. Big ups!
Loved this look into the dichotomy of sexuality and a Catholic upbringing.
I laughed my ass off and related so hard (as an Asian person who has also dated a Miata-owning white dude).

Loved this show! Bold, powerful, and inspiring. I was charmed by Sam’s charisma and sense of humour, which made the experience of this show so fun! Sam's presence is very engaging, and I was so moved by her performance. So many moments stood out. Amazing work by Sam and everyone on the creative team!
Breathtaking perfomance! A story exploring sexuality, shame, and family expectations while being told by a kick ass powerful woman who is doing her part to break down the patriarchy. Sam creates a both serious and fun atmosphere as she takes us on her journey creating moments that take the audience’s breath away. Definitely see this show before the Fringe is over!
A high energy graphic performances about sex and Sam’s sex life with a sidebar about her mother and religion leading leading to a positive take on self worth.
Brilliantly dramatic and masterfully comedic, the effort and artistry put into The Walk of Shame is evident. A sparse set and well crafted lighting and audio take you on a journey outside yourself. If you're like me, a white CIS guy, this wonderfully engrossing piece will gift you with the briefest glimpse into a journey you will never know, but will be better for having had the glimpse.
The energy and focus that Sam brings to their performance will leave you glued to your seat and fully engrossed in the unfolding story that spans many years and shares a continuing journey towards freedom of self.
The entire company behind The Walk of Shame should be very proud of this powerful and demonstrative piece of true theatrical art - see this while you have the chance!!
SUCH a great show! I watched the first rendition of this show a few years ago at the SCA Live Acts Festival (where I was already enamoured with it), and seeing how much it’s evolved now was incredible! I’m really excited to see where the artist takes this show next, and how it continues to evolve. It’s incredibly personal, and everything is spoken from the heart in a beautiful (and raunchy) way. Loved this!
Scandalous! At turns puppet show, performance art, getting the lowdown from your friend on their recent hookup, and going to church. I laughed, gasped, and said AMEN!
Go see this show!!! The performer is so brilliant, warm, hilarious and so so courageous. The best fun I’ve had in a theatre!
Sam does an excellent job of bringing the audience into a space of shared comrodery and vulnerability and her relationship with the audience is professional and kind, especially given the subject matter.
The Walk of Shame is raunchy, nasty, and unapologetic, its exactly what it means to be, and it brings the audience along for a genuine fun ride.
Perfect to watch with my partner by my side!
Disappointing. I'm no prude; I grew up with a Marine Drill Instructor as a Stepfather so I'm pretty comfortable with coarse language. But I think it was sometimes used gratuitously just for shock value. The plot was disjoint - pro-sex, anti-religion, anti-patriarchy - agree with all of those - but it didn't come together as a cohesive plot. Some scenes seemed to drag on and on.
The performance felt genuine and the storyline was legit - but it needs some polish.
Listen. This was defiant and heartbreaking and sassy and hilarious. You gotta see this one.
