WOW! Diane Jorge is one of the most focused, energetic, creative, and hilarious improvisors I have ever had the pleasure of watching in action.
I saw Diane at the Fringe Teaser where her 2 minutes on stage enthralled not only me, but every single on of the over 200 people in attendance. You'll never know where the next tangent will appear, or lead as she masterfully guides the audience through the unfolding - written in real time - episode of Solovela!
After a brief interview with a random audience member Diane takes the details of their life and creates an entire episode of a Telenovela that never existed but you will wish it did.
If you love improv, if you love to laugh, if you love to be truly entertained you need to see this show!
I know nothing about dance, and I didn't have to in order for Las Mujeronas to take me on a complex, athletic, and acoustically gorgeous journey.
The very skilled live guitarist and soulful vocal accompaniment brought an extra level of immersion to an experience where you can easily lose yourself to the story unfolding on stage. With every gesture, tap, stomp, twirl, and vocalization you are taken away from your world and into the world of these masterful dancers and physical storytellers; And what a vital important story it is!
Do yourself a favour and be welcomed into the incredible experience that is Las Mujeronas!!
Brilliantly dramatic and masterfully comedic, the effort and artistry put into The Walk of Shame is evident. A sparse set and well crafted lighting and audio take you on a journey outside yourself. If you're like me, a white CIS guy, this wonderfully engrossing piece will gift you with the briefest glimpse into a journey you will never know, but will be better for having had the glimpse.
The energy and focus that Sam brings to their performance will leave you glued to your seat and fully engrossed in the unfolding story that spans many years and shares a continuing journey towards freedom of self.
The entire company behind The Walk of Shame should be very proud of this powerful and demonstrative piece of true theatrical art - see this while you have the chance!!
Mark is tall. Mark is also a sublimely talented storyteller and musician that knows how to please and lead his audience.
We were all captured by Mark's specific brand of enthusiastically approaching hard subjects, complex emotions, and the path of disability in modern society while never leaving the audience feeling lectured, judged, or sad. The infectious joy of his energetic, at times nearly frenetic, dance and physical presence will have you singing, tapping, and clapping along.
You will leave Tall Mark's EAT IT ANYWAY with a smile, full heart, head full of positive ruminations, and wonder at this Canadian master of his art.
What a wonderful discovery and experience!! A human and psycho-technological story that thrilled not just me, but observably the entire audience.
The intensity of the world that the playwright, her cast mate, and their entire company brings to a small intimate Fringe venue is remarkable, as is the complexity of these characters. The acting chemistry between the leads weaves itself into the compelling, at times very funny, stark and dark look at age-old human connections in a modern setting. A thoughtfully designed set and captivating audio/visuals immerse you in the story being played out on stage, and draw you deep into the narrative.
You will feel for the characters, you will fully buy into the experience, and you will leave the theatre fully satisfied but somehow yearning for more of this world. Mia takes you beyond the expected Fringe experience with elegance and precision. Please see this show.

The playwright and her sizeable cast, along with the support of their crew, immerse you in an otherworldly experience that will play with your heart strings - like a kitten with a ball of yarn.
Funny, heartfelt, sad, and joyous only begin to describe the journey ahead if you choose to attend this show. I sincerely urge you to gift this experience to yourself. Whether a cat lover or not, you will connect with The Lucky Life of a Black Cat, and feel lucky for having had the opportunity.
All We Have is a beautiful, well articulated, and truly moving piece of theatre with a palpable authenticity. This experience will make you laugh and smile, it will also break your heart, tend to the shards, and rebuild you - and perhaps your faith in hope, love, and possibilities.
A stand-out cast, thoughtfully designed set, and many many cups of tea accompany you through this delicate yet tenderly forceful look at the human experience, and the human experiences that bind us all.
