Clocking in at just under an hour, this show is the culmination of 5 years of writing, re-writing, performing, and refining jokes, stage presence, crowdwork, and storytelling, and it shows!

In that Niki Mohrdar is one of the best comedians working in Canada, there is no doubt, but this show is a testament to her singular ability to connect to an audience who may find her upbringing and background essentially alien to their own's. Niki's authenticity and vulnerability is on full display as she navigates through her experiences as a queer immigrant woman of color, sugarcoating nothing for the comfort of her predominantly western audience, and yet effortlessly keeping them on her side throughout the whole story. A true masterclass in calling in instead of calling out.

I highly recommend this show to everyone who is willing to have their notions of race, gender and culture in the middle east, challenged.

The emotional weight of this show is something I will carry for a long time! At its core, a story of human beings dealing with the inevitable mortality of their greatest idea, and seeing their entire lives' work become obsolete in an ever-changing world, more relevant today than ever, as the very notion of human interaction and connection is under a real threat of eroding under the unfeeling fists of AI and late-stage capitalism.

Ante's pitch perfect, from the accent to the movements, and effortlessly zig zags back and forth between the hilarious and the genuinely melancholic.

Wouldn't want to give too much more away, but go see the show and I genuinely recommend participating in the audience interaction portions.
