Loved the pacing and energy of the show, understated but drew me in. good use of jokes in a storyline format rather than stand up. very sweet.
Very funny and great use of audience and music for humor! I got his laminated poster after the show, I'm sure he'll make it big soon and it will be worth a fortune!

I didn't know what to expect when I came to the show but I was thrilled. It was endearing, interactive, hilarious, and of course very silly. I highly recommend this show to anyone who wants to leave feeling better about their day.

An-Te created the most heart-warming, funny, and dumb show (and dumb is a compliment in the best way possible). He is such an endearing performer, and I had such a great time watching this show.

I did not enjoy this show . I could not understand the point of his story. It did not make sense and I didn't find any of the jokes funny although many other people in the theatre seemed to.
Such a fun show! From the beginning, you feel welcomed into the space. An-Te’s character is endearing, charming, and hilarious, with the sensitivity of both a clown and a comedian. I was laugh-crying the entire time. Would be happy to see this one more than once!
This beautiful man and his one man show was absolutely brilliant! A memorable story of hat commerce, bus schools, and lost loves!

I pretty much never see shows off-island, but for The Last Cowboy (Hat Salesman), I am so, so glad I did. What an absolute sleeper hit. It's funny, it's touching, it's surprising, and it never stops from beginning to end. The audience participation is well done from the moment you walk into the room, right up until the very end. The story itself is a relatable tale of capitalism and growing apart, being left behind, and finding your niche in the world. Overall, a must-see. An-Te Chu was exceptional, and I'll be seated for all of his next shows.
This show is funny and sweet. An Te is so charming, I loved how he made eyes at the audience in order to get them to participate. His jokes are clever, and the story is endearing. Definitely recommend.
An-te surprised me! I had no idea what to expect. I respect his commitment to the bit, his silliness, his writing, his crowd work, you’ll feel so joyful after you see this show! A must see!
The performance felt quite real in the sense that it was improvised while still having a solid structure and script. Audience members were invited onto the stage to perform together, and they were very good. The performer was also skilled at handling unexpected situations. His Southern American accent was very convincing. I loved the script with good punchlines. I really enjoyed it.
My wife refuses to laugh at my jokes, but she laughed all throughout this show. 😂
An-te switches between staying amazingly in character, especially during audience participation. I truly didn't expect to be so invested in a narrative with such a bizarre premise. Would definitely recommend my friends to attend!
An incredibly charming story of a cowboy hat salesman’s life. A show full of laughs and smiles, a pleasantly soft show that while not having a bunch of high energy moments kept me chuckling throughout!

The emotional weight of this show is something I will carry for a long time! At its core, a story of human beings dealing with the inevitable mortality of their greatest idea, and seeing their entire lives' work become obsolete in an ever-changing world, more relevant today than ever, as the very notion of human interaction and connection is under a real threat of eroding under the unfeeling fists of AI and late-stage capitalism.
Ante's pitch perfect, from the accent to the movements, and effortlessly zig zags back and forth between the hilarious and the genuinely melancholic.
Wouldn't want to give too much more away, but go see the show and I genuinely recommend participating in the audience interaction portions.
Hilarious and heartfelt in all the best ways. An-Te lived in the character in a way that made it impossible to look away. The water bottle bit in particular both moved me and made me laugh. Bring this back for next year's Fringe PLEASE!

Shows like this are why I love fringe! I had no idea what to expect going into the show (I picked it because I liked the name), and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The show is hilarious (especially An Te's audience interactions) and one I would definitely recommend and might see again!
Truly delightful, the comedy was original and genuine it had all of the audience laughing through the entire show. It was such a fun time would 100 percent recommend!

This show is very well written and very silly (in the best way). I genuinely hate comedy that tries to make you laugh through shock value or by being overly raunchy. So this was such a breath of fresh air. This show made me feel like I’m a good person and the world is going to be ok. It was one of those shows where I felt like I wanted to hug everyone in the crowd afterwards, because what we witnessed was special. Major props
A hilarious show that hit me in the feelings while also getting my laughing uproariously. An-Te wrote and performed his character well, had the audience engaged and excited with his crowd work, and I also just really enjoyed the story.

My girlfriend and I caught An Te’s first show of, The Last Cowboy (Hat Salesman), and laughed way more than expected. The comedy felt spontaneous, original, and a couple jokes are still stuck in my head.
Walked out wanting to see it again.

Twists and turns, tasteful audience participation, and a delightful musical interlude. Everything comes full circle + lots of laughter. An Te brings the best out of audience participants as they roll with it and together they bring the HAHAs to the room.
