I think it would be best to ask if you want Comfort or criticism for this review. Since I can't really ask you in person I will have to give you both.
Comfort: a wonderfully creative and heartfelt shovel that explores the catharsis of femininity at menopause while coming to terms with separation and the desire to still find connection. I really enjoyed and appreciated the honesty of Nico's personal story and would love to see more in the future.
Criticism: I think a separate director could help bring more life to this performance to find where the monologue and comedy can be punctuated. A lot of the time the audience laughed where the monologue was funny to the audience. This could be better delivered. The action and propwork was definitely on point. All in all a solid performance.

THIS. Loved how the audience could bet on things that would happen in the show. Audience participation was absolutely on point. Much of the scenes in between was a duo masterclass from two improv veterans who spoke of their history of struggles and triumphs in the improv world while extorting as much fake money and sympathy from the audience as they can. Sometimes just telling them to leave for how much money they are costing them.
In the end it was all good laughs and sourdough, putting it all on black to win.
I loved every minute.
Bertram is FIERCE as the host of the longest running trivia show in history! Loved the audience participation, teams and the option to choose ridiculous answers. Tech helper and trivia answer tallyperson (forgot their name actually) was on point with their assistance and keeping the whole thing moving.
Would have enjoyed a bigger send off for Bertram's last night. Maybe his love comes back for him. Maybe a trust fall into the audience followed by crowd surfing. Maybe poppin' Cristal followed by a cake fight i don't know.
A beautiful memorial of a lovely cat. This show was a treasure! A wonderful imagining of the in between of every cat's life.

LOVE MANIPULATED was absolutely brilliant. strong and inspired performances by the entire cast, incredibly proper comedy. if you get a chance to see it, you should! tell your friends!
