Attending my very first Fringe right now in Whitehorse. What a lovely, compact event with great venues and thoughtful touches. Experiencing the snippets on opening night was fun.
High energy, funny, poignant, and meaningful. Standup comedy meets storytelling, this well-constructed show follows the story of someone leaving PEI for “Skit School” in Montreal and further afield. We laughed at all the scenes and marveled at how all the threads were tied up at the end. Impressive script and well executed acting. Thanks for coming to Whitehorse and tailoring the script in recognition that we’re even smaller than PEI.
Poignant storytelling delivered over a spectacular musical score supported by dance, movement, and lighting. The story is timeless, dreamlike, and suspenseful. Like all great stories, it has a satisfying ending. I noticed audience members smiling and pausing to discuss the experience as we left the venue.
