Wow, such an amazing experience. I loved the multiple layers involved in the projection and the ability of the creators to evoke such strong emotions through the bend of a wrist or the twining of limbs. I watched from the front, but it was interesting that there was an opportunity to “look behind the curtain”. Such a captivating show, so well choreographed, really thoughtful and mesmerizing. Highly recommend!
Wow! Such strong performances from both actors in this show - a really tense tango of dialogue with such amazing thrust & parry. So well written and thoughtful, real chemistry between the actors and some light playfulness despite the heavy topics. Highly recommend.
A gently told story about the struggle of feeling that you don’t fit in the world. A few tears, many laughs and a wonderful depiction of finding friends in the least expected places. Charming and warm, I loved the interaction between the snail and Noah. Highly recommend.
Expect the usual deadpan hilarity we know and love from Fulder & Dully. Lots of silliness and great characters, another fun romp from Villains Theatre.
This show is everything I love about Fringe - fun story, minimal set, more than a few insider “Hali-theatre” jokes, actors/writers/directors that are involved in many other Fringe shows and even a brand new actor!! Even though I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, there were plenty of jokes that made me laugh out loud. I’m still smiling about this one. Highly recommend!
Being a woman of a certain age, I really related to the premise that women seem to become invisible to some after a certain age. And while there was well-earned rage, there were also many lines that made me laugh out loud. Well written, lots of input by women writers of the past, great character work and so heartfelt. Caitlin Murphy is so talented, go see this show. Highly recommend!!
What an amazing show!! Well presented, stunning circus skills framed by a show about ancestry, racism and belonging. Highly recommend!
Heartbreaking, as you would expect from a show about genocide. But also thoughtfully structured in front of the backdrops of so many protests. The chronology of the poetry gives a timeline, almost like a diary, and also a reflection of how quotidian these atrocities have become. A fitting reminder that this genocide is ongoing. Highly recommend.
This show started out very fast-paced, which was great, but then the tempo moderated as Dwayne went through the ups and downs of his life so far. I really enjoyed this show and felt that I got a glimpse of his joys and conflicts as a black man with immigrant parents. I really appreciated the frank language, the playing with language and the immediacy of emotion. Highly recommend!
