Bizarre, thoughtful, fun! I will be thinking about this one for awhile. It didn’t seem like my cuppa at times, and then at other times, I’m like “wow I really like this”. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a play with so much audience participation, and the interactive aspect was done so well. Shreya and Sachin‘s chemistry was palpable. The content was deep and dark and handled light heartedly and thoughtfully. This is a piece I would like to see again - Vancouver anyone?! *The volume of the interlude music at this venue seemed really loud to me. I had to rifle through my bag to find earplugs. I would be mindful of this at the sugar swing club as it’s the only of 15 shows I’ve attended where I needed earplugs.
Praise Christ Jesus, you naughty power bottom. If this was what church was like when I was a kid, you wouldn’t have been able to keep me away!
Noam Osband does a great job portraying a 4-time divorced televangelist. He’s fun from the moment you walk in to the theatre until the last, greeting guests as they’re leaving. A true southern pastor. Clever lyrics, talented musicians, fun not forced audience participation! I’ll be back if we’re lucky enough to have them deem our congregation worthy! I’ll be singing about the trilogy being a ganbang all week. And, now that I know I have to sin to get in, I can leave my catholic guilt in my past! Amen, hallelujah!
An hour spent with God is always a good one, when she is a Scottish drag queen that is. As always Mike and Chantelle have brought a stellar show to Edmonton. Having the audience laughing at AI, menopause, and the state of Alberta - and leaving feeling hopeful - is something that I think only this God can do. You’ve done it again God! Thanks for gracing Alberta with your holiness even when we have such a high presence of hate, racism, homophobia, transphobia…. Separatists…. There are still good, ethical people here who need your message!
This show was HILARIOUS. Shirley is a PRESENCE! X-rated content packaged in a classy cowgirl aesthetic. Her vocal range was awesome, her writing even better. Before this show, I was worried about the cost of medical screenings, but now I’m excited for an under the table colonoscopy. Thanks Shirley! You’re a ⭐️
Wow! Having only come to this show because the creator and solo cast memeber happens to be my all time favourite improv performer, I was mind blown by the script.
Marie’s acting as 4 or 5 or was it 6…. separate characters was impressive to say the least. With her quick wit, well researched script, and pure stage presence- this show was sure to engage even the least train enthusiasts in the audience. A huge shout out to Tiff Hall for the incredible music in the show, keeping us all well engaged during Marie’s character metamorphoses! Bravo!
I LOVE Gilbert and Sullivan which is why I ended up here. I was overjoyed with the acting, singing, plot and the non G&S songs that made the cut - chitty chitty! Wow!
The entire cast, especially the pianist, is exceptionally talented and clearly well trained vocalists. Hats off to Kim Breitkreutz and Ruth Kult whose vocals were the best I’ve ever heard at the fringe. Great show for all and a MUST SEE for any G and S fans.
Weird Al is always so fun. No two shows are the same, but there are always a few gems that you’ll be singing for days. In today’s 2:15 show the cast and audience brought the energy of a buzzing Friday night on Whyte in the early 2000s. One of my favourite king of the hill actors, Andrew, gave us all Beaver Fever and we loved it. He’s a real star. Eddie Vedder’s “Pyrenees” will be playing on repeat in my head, and the star of the show for me was Paul as Shaggy Roooooo-Man Catholic. I wish my god fearing mother could’ve been there for his clever lyrics. Another incredible year of parodies. Congrats on 11 years of the best karaoke in town.
Elle Woods has always helped me through difficult times. After all, we women should support each other. This is my first time seeing the musical, and wow did the youth cast BEND and SNAP!
Elle Woods has an outstanding voice and we will be seeing more of her, luckily! The rest of the cast did very well - I was especially impressed by Paulette, Emmett, and even Vivienne (despite my dislike of her character).
This cast should be proud of what they’re pulling off at the Edmonton INTERNATIONAL Fringe Festival. Bravo!

What a beautiful story brought to life by the incredible cast. Susan Sneath is outstanding in her role as Siobhan the Seanchaí (Irish oral storyteller) who’s now aging and facing the accompanying changes. Mark Guerrero plays Fionn, a young man interested in learning the skill of storytelling.
Both actors were incredibly polished and the execution was tight, shockingly putting a world of details and emotions into just 45 minutes. Susan was very convincing in her role and is clearly an experienced actor. A highlight for me was when Fionn performed some modern day storytelling for Siobhan. He was hilarious and executed that scene flawlessly.
This story hit really close to home, and I wasn’t expecting it. I cried and also felt comforted by the way that Gavin Bradley so thoughtfully crafted this script.
The story itself is impressive, a true story of a revolutionary woman, whose strength, conviction, and intellect were undeniable and so impressive. Afeni was arrested with the Black Panthers in 1969 New York City. She represented herself and she did an incredible job at it; before she was “Tupac’s mama”.
Onika Henry does an exceptional job portraying Afeni - she kept the audience so incredibly engaged that you could have heard a pin drop. We couldn’t take our eyes off of Onika, even as she moved around the theatre and into the audience. More impressive even when we learned that she had an umbrella fall on her earlier, and I’m assuming is nursing a potential concussion 🤕
This is a must see performance by an outstanding actor. Educational, entertaining and thought-provoking in a time where systematic racism continues to plague our society.
