Incredibly tough subject matter, definitely needs a heavy content warning, but very well acted. The actress delivered her soliloquies perfectly, and both actors kept the audience at the edge of their seats. Poignant and worth the watch, if you can.

Perfect use of call-backs, tied every single loose end together so wonderfully, but filled with references very specific to his generation/demographic, so there were probably many moments that completely went over my head!

Would have also loved to have heard more about PEI -- as Justin himself mentions, the odds of actually meeting someone from PEI are so incredibly low!

Show also ran 14 minutes late, causing me to miss my next show.

Missed opportunity to fully lean into being an all ages kid's show!

The energy, pacing and overall execution was great, but really would be much better suited as PG show. (Despite the PG rating, the actors did have to modify the show live when a family sat in).

Sound was also a bit too loud at times.

No circus, very little colonialism.

A funny and Fringey show, but disappointed in the lack of depth and discussion on the topic of colonialism.

What Barbie was for feminism, Colonial Circus was for colonialism. Perhaps not for those looking for intersectional discourse.

Not at all unlike one of those wonderfully strange art films with no clear heads or tails one would find at a multimedia room at a modern/contemporary art museum.

Not normally a fan of vignettes, but despite the very loose plot, they managed to tie the vignettes together.

Visually stunning, tight pacing and so much to talk about! Definitely the most unique show of this run!

My top show of 2025. Best use of a site specific show. Would recommend to absolutely everyone, glad they got a second run!

Tightly scripted, funny, and an overall delightful musical. It went flying by and I absolutely would watch an 80/90 minute version!
